Charlotte Tilbury: Pillow Talk Lipstick and Lip Liner Review

The Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks are something I am a big fan of. The shade range is extensive and the consistencies are creamy and blend-able whilst still having good pigmentation. I am also a big fan of the “Lip Cheat” lip liners as well although to date I have primarily used the nude shades of, “pillow talk” and “iconic nude.” However, they are really easy to use and glide on well – there are no messy, smudgy lines and they do a good job of adding definition to the lips without making you look like you have gigantic, clown lips.

I absolutely adore nude and pink toned lipsticks and as such have tried a variety of what Team Tilbury have to offer: “bitch perfect,” “Penelope pink,” “Nude Kate,” “Kim KW” and now, “Pillow Talk”. I love all of these shades and despite being from the same tone range they all offer something a little different. You can read my full review on these lipsticks here.

Now, whilst I loved all of these products I did often find myself using my “Pillow Talk” lip liner to shade my whole lips simply because I loved the colour so much. I would them pop on a little “Lip Lustre” in “Blondie” and be off. This was fast becoming a daily occurrence so, when it was announced that the brand were releasing a new lipstick in the amazing, “Pillow Talk” shade, I couldn’t contain my excitement – I had to have it.

With such high expectations I was praying that this lipstick wouldn’t disappoint. I was wishing and hoping that it would live up to my now beloved lip liner and…it did!

This lipstick is amazing! In my opinion, it is the best nude lipstick I have ever come across and is officially my favourite! It’s subtle but still looks like I have a little colour and glow. However, it looks natural. It looks like my lips, only better. This is down to the fact that this is a matte formula and thus part of her “Matte Revolution” range. If you want to know about more about the “Matte Revolution” line you can read more about it here. What I also love about this shade is that it makes your lips appear plumper and fuller without the need for any messy lip plumping products of glossies.

On her website Charlotte states that:

This gorgeous nude-y pink mimics and enhances the natural hue of your lips, so you can CHEAT a perfect pillow-y pout in seconds.”

It’s the inclusion of the “soothing orchid and Lipstick Tree extracts” that make the lips looks “fuller and wider” whilst making them feel soft and appear youthful.

The lipstick retails at £24.00 and the lip cheat at £18.00. This is pricier that your typical high street products but, I really think quality of this product makes it worth it. An added bonus is that the lipstick comes in the signature golden, ripped case with the brand logo emblazed on the end. It’s elegant, chic and makes a beautiful addition to any make-up bag or dressing table.

“Give a woman the right to make up,

and she can conquer the world”
